Word Simulation

Practice character formatting, paragraph alignment, headings, bullets, line spacing and page breaks in a virtual Word, using only the keyboard. You will finish a training notice that a colleague started.

Tutorial

When on, each mission starts by showing which keys to press and in what order, one step at a time. Turn it off once you get used to it.

CHAPTER 1

Chapter 1 Character formatting

Make selected text bold, underlined or italic, change its size, and clear formatting you no longer need.

CHAPTER 2

Chapter 2 Paragraph alignment

With the cursor anywhere in a paragraph, the whole paragraph is aligned. Practice center, right, left and justified alignment.

Chapter 3 Selecting with the keyboard

Select exactly the text you want with Shift, then apply formatting.

Chapter 4 Headings

Apply the Heading 1–3 styles to paragraphs.

CHAPTER 5

Chapter 5 Bullets and indents

Create bullets, change their level with Tab / Shift+Tab, and indent paragraphs.

CHAPTER 6

Chapter 6 Line spacing and breaks

Change line spacing and learn when to use a page break or a line break inside a paragraph.

CHAPTER 7

Chapter 7 Copying formatting and reordering paragraphs

Copy formatting and reorder paragraphs with keys.

Chapter 8 Combination: finish the notice

Combine everything so far to finish the training notice.
