Touch Typing

Touch Typing PracticeHome Row Before Speed

Touch typing starts with stable hand position, not maximum speed. Use KeyboardGym to learn the home row, build finger return habits, and then check whether that accuracy survives under timed pressure.

1. Learn the home row

Use the F and J bumps to find your position without looking down and make ASDF / JKL; your return point.

2. Build repeatable accuracy

Start with short prompts and focus on recovering after Enter, Backspace, and longer reaches.

3. Add timed checks

Short tests help you see whether your touch-typing posture still holds once you type at practical speed.
