Breakout Tips: Angles, Combos, and Multiball for High Scores

Just returning the ball will not push your breakout score very far. Thinking about angles, wall bounces, and combo upkeep is what drives new personal bests in Burst Breakout.

1. The middle and edges of the paddle send different angles

A ball hit with the center of the paddle flies straight; one hit with the edge flies at a slant. When you want to carve out a specific column, choose which side of the paddle meets the ball.

2. Use the side walls to attack from behind

Bricks that are hard to hit head-on become easy when you bank the ball off a side wall and come in from above or beside them. The closer bricks sit to the edges, the better wall bounces work.

3. Prioritize bomb bricks

Bomb bricks take out their neighbors and kick-start combos. Whenever one is in reach, make it your target.

4. During multiball, do not chase every ball

When the balls multiply, watch the one most likely to drop. Tracking only the balls headed downward causes far fewer misses than trying to follow all of them.

5. When your combo is at risk, make the safe return

High scores come from combo upkeep. Losing the ball while forcing a fancy angle costs more than simply returning it and waiting for the next opening.
