Accuracy and speed rank benchmarks

Aim Trainer combines your accuracy (hits ÷ total attempts) with your average reaction time to place you in one of five ranks. The top two ranks require both accuracy and speed.

Targets vanish after about 1.1s in Flick Shot and 1.6s in Precision Shot, and a target that times out counts as a miss — so taking your time drags your accuracy down too. Flick Shot has larger targets, so 60–75% is a realistic goal. Precision Shot uses smaller targets, so the same accuracy takes noticeably tighter aim.

Reaction time benchmarks

A simple reaction to a visual change — like the reflex game — averages roughly 200–250ms. Aim Trainer measures the time from a target appearing to your click, which naturally runs longer since you also have to move the mouse and line up the shot. Flick Shot tends to be faster than Precision Shot, since its targets are bigger and closer. For the rank, an average of 600ms or faster meets the Sharp requirement, and 450ms or faster meets the Elite requirement.

Time-on-target benchmarks (Tracking mode)

Tracking mode does not ask you to shoot anything. It measures how long your cursor stayed on a target that never stops moving, counted only while you hold the button down. It is a separate skill from flicking, and plenty of players who flick well track poorly.

The target speeds up over the 30 seconds, so the rate always drops in the back half. Read the longest streak next to it as well: a run that leaked a little everywhere and a run that tracked cleanly then lost the target once can share the same rate while needing completely different practice.

Consistency: the third number

The result screen splits every run into speed, precision and consistency. Consistency comes from how much your reaction times varied, measured as the coefficient of variation: the standard deviation divided by your own average. Dividing by the average rather than reporting the raw spread is deliberate, because slower players naturally have larger absolute variation. What matters is whether you are even for your own speed.

Two players can both average 400ms. One lands every target between 390 and 410ms; the other mixes 200ms clicks with 600ms ones. The second falls apart under pressure, and an average alone never shows it. When consistency is your lowest bar, stop chasing your fastest click and do a run where every shot lands on the same beat.
