FREE TYPING RPG
What is Robot Typing Battle?
A free typing RPG where you drive an obsolete robot, RX-06 "Roku", by typing commands straight from the keyboard. Every finished word both attacks and charges; when the gauge fills, three special commands appear — short, medium and long. Choosing between them trains judgement, not just speed.
How to play
- 1. Pick your pilot (Sou / Nagi), the personality module for Roku (BOLT / ARIA) and a difficulty.
- 2. Type the given word in romaji. Every keystroke attacks, and finishing a word fills the capacitor.
- 3. A full gauge triggers OVER DRIVE: three special commands appear — short, medium and long.
- 4. Choose one with 1/2/3, a tap, or by typing the lit first letter.
- 5. Fire as many commands as the timer allows. Chaining them raises the CHAIN bonus.
- 6. Win all ten rounds to take the world title; your total score enters this month’s world ranking.
Tips
Long commands hit hardest, but a command you cannot finish before the timer runs out is wasted entirely. Read the clock against your own speed and decide whether to chip away or swing big. Mistakes reduce the damage, so landing a short command cleanly often out-damages a risky long one. Keystrokes during charging deal damage too — never stop typing.
STORY
Story
Robot competition has become the biggest sport on earth. Our hero once dreamed of reaching the world stage, but five failed pro qualification exams have nearly put that dream to rest.
Neither voice nor gesture control ever fit their hands. They now work at an old real-estate office, typing property data — thousands of characters a day, faster than anyone.
One night the gym owner drags a machine out of storage: RX-06, "Roku". No voice, no UI — a twenty-year-old competition robot driven by commands typed straight on a keyboard. The moment those fingers touched the old keys, Roku moved accurately for the first time in twenty years.
